No Prosperity Gospel, No False Christ, Just Be Faithful to the Gospel of Jesus Christ

It is very sad and it grieves to know that many professing church pastors and "evangelists" today are not faithful to their calling to make a full and accurate presentation of Gospel of Jesus Christ. Many present Jesus as simply a mean to an end. To suit to their whims and fancies of their own humanistic theology and bellies, they present a false "christ" and a perverted "gospel" like "Accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour will not only save you from sin and hell, but also give to you health, ....., favour, the power to get wealth, all good things you can think of and more." This perversion of the Gospel invitation sadly robs Christ of His true accomplishments in the Cross and the Glory due to God alone. This type of false and perverted Gospel invitation directs sinners away from true faith and repentance found in Jesus Christ alone. Such perversion of the Gospel turns sinners to seek a "lesser god", more like a "golden calf", definitely not the Lord Jesus Christ and God of the Bible .

For some faithful preaching, check this video out. This video on an open air sermon by a nameless preacher to the homeless community in Detroit that stay in a large underground plaza underneath the city of Detroit.

Without Christ's finished work on the cross, there is no good news and no hope for all men and women before God. In this second short clip, Pastor Thabiti Anyabwile explained Why Did Jesus Have To Die? This is the central core of the Lord Jesus Christ's true accomplishments on the cross where He alone bore the sinner's sins and all its curse and all its penalty and all its wrath and provided the only acceptable satisfaction to God in order to reconcile condemned the sinner to an eternal life relationship with a Holy God.

Distinguish Between the Gospel and False Gospels

Distortions and Denials of the Gospel’s Promises

Here anything can be a denial of the gospel if you put anything as the treasure that Christ died to bring you above God himself. Christ died to give you Christ, ultimately.

Not ultimately prosperity, health, wealth, self-esteem, family, successful church, reunion with deceased loved ones, lawful behavior, forgiveness of sins, removal of wrath, removal of guilt, escape from hell or anything else.

He died so that you might see and be everlastingly and increasingly satisfied in all that God is for us in Christ.

This is where we must take people. Anything short of this goal is falling short of the gospel, and the reason Christ died and rose again

" The Unequaled Greatness of The Son of God "

An excellent extract of a sermon by Dr. Arturo G. Azurdia on the incomparable and unequaled greatness of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. When Jesus Christ fully completed His vicarious, substitution, atoning and sacrificial work on the cross, he sat down because "It is finished".

Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Our Greatest Reward

Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD; I will take joy in the God of my salvation. GOD, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer's; he makes me tread on my high places. Hab 3:17-19

Lean on the all sufficient Creator, we can always trust Him.
In poverty or in riches, God promises to supply our every need.
In sickness or in health, remember God is always good.
Lets thirst and hunger after the Giver, not his earthly gifts.
Lets our rejoicing be in the Giver, not His worldly gifts.
He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all,
How will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
In worshiping God, remember He is our greatest reward.

From Homosexuality to Holiness --- Living with HIV and Hope

A gripping testimony of a rebellious young man who was steeped in homosexuality and drugs. The young man and his non-believing parents were saved and transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. A sovereign God, through sad and disappointing circumstances, drew them and called them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart." Jer 29:11-13

"In this video, Christopher Yuan gives his testimony with his father, Leon at a Thanksgiving service. Christopher tells his story of God bringing him out of the homosexual lifestyle into a life of purity and obedience. In addition, although living with HIV, Christopher has realized that his true hope is found in Jesus Christ and lives each day to please His Lord and Savior. I am afraid....I hear, and my body trembles....my legs tremble

Prophet Habakkuk, a holy and righteous man, like all holy men in scriptures "were struck and overwhelmed whenever they beheld the presence of God". God our Heavenly Father is the unchangeable God. When we approach God in prayer and when we worship God, we must always remember that Him whom scriptures described as Holy, Holy, Holy.

"O Jehovah, I have heard Your report; I am afraid. O Jehovah, give new life to Your work in the midst of years; in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy. ......................................I hear, and my body trembles; my lips quiver at the sound; rottenness enters into my bones; my legs tremble beneath me. Yet I will quietly wait for the day of trouble to come upon people who invade us." Hab 3:2,16

“Hence that dread and amazement with which as Scripture uniformly relates, holy men were struck and overwhelmed whenever they beheld the presence of God. When we see those who previously stood firm and secure so quaking with terror, that the fear of death takes hold of them, nay, they are, in a manner, swallowed up and annihilated, the inference to be drawn is that men are never duly touched and impressed with a conviction of their insignificance, until they have contrasted themselves with the majesty of God.” John Calvin, Institutes on the Christian Religion 1, part 5 Book First: Of the Knowledge of God the Creator
